LinkSentry Terms of Service

Read our terms and conditions.

Effective Date: May 9, 2025

Welcome to LinkSentry! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the LinkSentry website and services (the “Service”), operated by Link Sentry, LLC, a Delaware corporation ("we", "us", or "our").

By using our Service, you ("Customer", "you", or "your") agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Service Description

LinkSentry provides an automated service that analyzes web pages for the presence of broken or potentially malicious links. Our Service is designed to assist website operators in identifying links that may compromise website functionality or security.

2. Service Limitations

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • LinkSentry does not guarantee that it will detect all broken or malicious links.
  • The Service may not identify every threat or issue due to the evolving nature of malicious content and technical limitations.
  • The Service is intended to complement, not replace, comprehensive cybersecurity measures.

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring your website is legally compliant and secure.
  • Taking any necessary steps to remove or address links flagged by the Service.
  • Notifying us promptly of any suspected errors, bugs, or service interruptions.

You may not use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that interferes with the operation of the Service or infringes on third-party rights.

4. Account and Access

To use the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms or behavior that we deem harmful to the Service.

5. Fees and Payment

All LinkSentry plans are paid. By creating an account and using the Service, you agree to pay the applicable fees as listed on our website or as otherwise agreed in writing. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
  • OUR TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SERVICE IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LinkSentry, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents, from any claim, demand, loss, or damages, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

9. Arbitration and Dispute Resolution

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be conducted in Delaware or remotely, at the discretion of the arbitrator. The arbitration shall be conducted in English by a single arbitrator. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.

Class Action Waiver: You and LinkSentry agree that any arbitration shall be conducted only on an individual basis and not as a class, collective, or representative action. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.

11. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after such notice constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

12. Privacy Policy

Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. The Privacy Policy is available at https://linksentry.io/privacy or by request.

13. Data Ownership and Usage

You retain ownership of any data you provide to or generate through the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to use anonymized and aggregated data to improve and operate the Service, conduct analytics, and for other business purposes. We do not sell your data.
